Update — August 17: A retail display for the Monster × MW4 promo confirms two bonus cosmetics alongside 2XP: a Monster Energy Operator skin and a new cosmetic type called a Decal (shown as a Large Decal on the stand). The display points to callofduty.monsterenergy.com, requires the game sold separately, and is listed as 18+. Full context with the Closed Beta pre-load notes: MW4 Closed Beta pre-load roundup.
Update — Confirmed: Call of Duty Community Management has officially confirmed that Monster Energy is partnering with the franchise again for Double XP (2XP) around Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
Responding to photos of co-branded MW4 Monster cans, @CallofDutyCM wrote: "We'll be sippin' on Monster and popping 2XP with the community on Day 1 of MP. (Your tokens from WZ/BO7 also transfer over.)"
That confirms two key points for players: the Monster × Call of Duty 2XP promo is real, and existing 2XP tokens from Warzone and Black Ops 7 carry into Modern Warfare 4 Multiplayer.
What the Can Shows
Community photos first shared by @RepublicYeilder show a co-branded can with Call of Duty branding, a stylized MW4 mark, a QR code, and "Get In-Game Rewards" pointing to monsterenergy.com. Fine print on the label matches the familiar Monster code promo structure:
- Reward: Codes unlock 2XP in select current Call of Duty titles
- Limit: 1 hour per day, 40 hours total
- How codes work: Found under tabs of participating Modern Warfare 4 co-branded Monster Energy products
- Eligibility (as printed): US residents 18+, scan to enter
- Purchase window (as printed): September 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027
- Redeem by (as printed): April 30, 2027
Day 1 Multiplayer 2XP
Official confirmation puts Monster-linked 2XP in the hands of the community on Day 1 of Multiplayer. Combined with token transfer from Warzone and Black Ops 7, players who have been banking 2XP should be able to put those hours to work as soon as MW4 MP goes live.
The 1 HR/day, 40 HRS total cap printed on the can lines up with previous Monster Energy Call of Duty Double XP promotions — short daily bursts with a hard total ceiling. Full official terms (regions beyond the US print, exact title list, and redemption flow) should still come from Monster Energy and Activision when the promo pages go live.
What We Still Need Officially
Call of Duty has confirmed the partnership and Day 1 MP 2XP (plus WZ/BO7 token transfer). Packaging details such as purchase dates, redemption deadlines, and the 1-hour daily / 40-hour total limits still come from the can fine print and have not been restated in a full promo FAQ yet.
We'll update this post when monsterenergy.com or Activision publishes complete official terms.
