If you're jumping into the Call of Duty MW4 Beta and want to earn all 13 exclusive rewards before time runs out, or simply want to unlock specific pieces of equipment and weapons as quickly as possible, you've come to the right place. This guide provides six helpful tips and tricks for leveling up your player level as quickly as possible in Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer.
Tips for Leveling Up Fast in MW4 Multiplayer
Play Objective Game Modes: Arguably the quickest way to increase your Player Level in MW4 is to play objective-based game modes such as Domination, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and Inflation. Not only do you earn XP for killing players, but you also earn XP for actively participating in the mode's objective. While game modes like Hijack and Search and Destroy are also viable options, these modes are a bit more challenging to just jump into, especially if you're unfamiliar with the mechanics.
Don't Treat Objective Game Modes Like Team Deathmatch: When playing objective-based game modes, make sure you are actually playing to the objective. Treating these modes like Team Deathmatch won't earn you the big XP. Instead, focus on capturing and defending objective points, collecting dog tags, and picking up objectives.
Angie's Game Mode Recommendation for Best XP
While Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed offer decent XP, I have personally found that Domination is by far the best game mode for leveling up fast, especially in the MW4 Beta.
Unlike other modes such as Hijack and Search and Destroy, Domination is much more straightforward and generally more accessible and fun for casual players.
Typically, points A and C are the easiest to capture, and since players tend to flock to the objective points, it is usually easy to catch players off guard and land multiple consecutive kills. This in turn earns you bonus XP.
Domination is also far less punishing; even bad games can still earn you 8,000 XP per game, whereas a good performance can net you anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 XP.
Don't Forget to Use Your Equipment and Killstreaks: Select your Tactical, Lethal, and Field Upgrade equipment carefully. Not only can this equipment significantly improve your overall performance in-game, but it can also earn you passive experience. Each time an enemy is affected by a Tactical, killed with a Lethal, or tagged with a Field Upgrade, you will earn small amounts of XP, which passively adds up over the course of each game.
Destroy Enemy Equipment and Killstreaks: Much like using your equipment, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for your enemy's equipment. Destroying their Field Upgrades or taking down Killstreaks like a UAV, Combat Drone, or Attack Helicopter can net you even more passive XP each game.
Complete Daily Challenges: Lastly, make sure you're completing your three Daily Challenges every day. Completing each challenge will net you 2,500XP each, but completing all three challenges will give you a neat 10,000 XP boost. This free XP is basically the equivalent of playing two free games every day. Also, note the Reroll option that is available when viewing the challenges. If there's a particular challenge you don't want to complete, you can reroll it in hopes of getting something easier.
