Best ISO Nightshade Loadout And Build

The ISO Nightshade SMG is arguably one of the best weapons in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta, and one of the few meta weapons available. Not only is this SMG incredibly powerful, but it's also available immediately so you can work towards unlocking its best attachments straight from the start, making it a viable early-game weapon.

So, you're probably wondering just what exactly are the best attachments for this gun? Thankfully, we've put in the hard hours and have compiled a comprehensive run-and-gun build and loadout for the ISO Nightshade that will have you causing havoc on the battlefield.

Best ISO Nightshade Build

If you're chasing an aggressive run-and-gun build that excels in close quarters but can also compete against the best mid-to-long range guns, our custom ISO Nightshade build has you covered. This build focuses on improving the ISO Nightshade's range, allowing it to compete in long-range gun fights, as well maintaining high Mobility and Handling to keep the gun feeling nimble and ADS speed high.

Why

Ammunition

9MM Parabellum Frangible

While the 9MM Parabellum Frangible's Hindering Rounds have a slight damage reduction, they have the ability to temporarily suppress enemy mobility on hit.

This effect is relatively overlooked, and since MW4 has such fast time-to-kill, any slight factors that can negatively impact your enemy can often be the deciding factor in an otherwise even fight.

Also keep in mind that Hindering Rounds are especially helpful since weapon bloom is no longer a thing in MW4. This means bullets have a far less random spread.

Barrel

ZLR Carbon-900

The ZLR Carbon-900 offers improved Recoil Control and a notable boost to your Damage Range, making the ISO Nightshade even more competitive against popular mid-to-long range weapons like the M4.

While the long barrel has a few drawbacks to Mobility and Handling, the boost in Damage Range is too good to pass up, especially after the weapon's most recent nerf.

Laser

Schlager Visiv-5

The faster you can ADS and get off shots, the more success you'll have in MW4. As long as the TTK is incredibly quick, I'll be selecting the Schlager Visiv-5, since it offers a notable increase in Handling, with only one minor negative--a visible red laser.

Alternatively, if you'd prefer to avoid the visible laser in ADS, you can always opt for the XRK Clutch-LS, which offers similar results but is just more subtle and has no cons.

If you are a rather aggressive run-and-gun player like myself, I wouldn't stress over the visible red laser; the time you spend in ADS will be very minimal.

Muzzle

FSS Crackdown

Despite decreases in Mobility and Handling, the FSS Crackdown offers a notable increase in Damage Range and improvements to Accuracy and Bullet Velocity. It also features Sound Suppression, which is handy for run-and-gun builds as it keeps you under the radar.

And since we've already invested quite a bit in Mobility and Handling, we have some wiggle room to take a few hits in these categories without impacting our build.

Stock

GI-80 Milspec Stock

To help with ADS Recoil Control, I've gone with the GI-80 Milspec Stock.

Alternatively, if you're comfortable with dealing with vertical recoil, you could opt for the No Stock option. I ran this for quite a few games, but ultimately felt that I needed the extra Recoil Control. Have a test and see what works best for you.

With this ISO Nightshade build, I've maintained a consistent 30+ kills nearly every game.

Best ISO Nightshade Loadout

For the rest of your build, I highly recommend running a Flash Grenade and Semtex, as these are both incredibly powerful in the MW4 beta thanks to the smaller maps. If you're playing objective game modes like Domination, you can expect to rack up quite a few grenade kills each game.

Since I'm a more aggressive run-and-gun player, I'm running Ninja to reduce my footsteps, Fast Hands to help reload quicker, and Blood Rush for increased Tactical Sprint.

Killstreaks are more of a personal preference, but I've opted for the Bomb Glider, which I've found surprisingly fun to use, the Artillery Beacon, and then the good ol' Attack Helicopter.
